Dear Dr. Nicholas:

I certainly do appreciate your thoughtful letter about Connie.

Connie is a great joy to have around and she certainly is a young lady with great enthusiasm, along with an abiding love and knowledge of sports, so could there be any wonder that she and I get along so well.

Connie is welcome to come out to watch any practice, open or closed, and you can come with her if she will vouch for you.

Connie Carberg

Connie Nicholas Carberg grew up around the New York Jets with her father as the team's internist for 26 years (Dr. Calvin Nicholas). In 1974, she joined the Jets as a secretary. In 1976, she was named the first female scout in NFL History. Her contributions led to a number of top drafts culminating with her discovery of a little known defensive end, Mark Gastineau.
